discover your yoga
Yoga needs to be about you, where you are right now in this moment.
Yoga needs to adapt to meet your needs, not have you adapt to it.

No two yoga practices will be the same as no two people are the same.
Let me help you connect with and find your yoga.

About me
As a recovering marathoner, I originally came to yoga for the cross-training benefits, and to see if it would help with my SI joint issues. What I found was so much more than a supplemental practice. The connection between the breath, the body, and the mind helped me find my place and my peace, as my running had to come to an end, ultimately, because of arthritis in my knee.
Where one door closes, another opens, and in 2018/2019 I completed my RYT 200 hour training at Blue Nectar Yoga in Falls Church, Virginia, and was lucky enough to begin teaching part time at Nectar Yoga Studios, first Blue Nectar and now Power and Virtual Nectar. I love helping students on their journey, especially those first discovering yoga or returning to yoga after an absence.
I believe, first and foremost, yoga needs to be adapted to you, your body, and where you are right now. It truly can be for everybody and every body. I enjoy exploring the chakra's and helping students on their energy journey.
I believe continuing education is important and am in the process of completing my Uplifted 300/500 hour yoga teacher training and will be starting the Uplifted 200 hour Kundalini Yoga teacher training in November 2020.
I completed my perinatal yoga teacher certification from Blue Nectar Yoga to better be able to serve the pre- and postnatal yoga community.
I am certified to teach YOGABODY® Gravity Yoga (targeted mobility training) and to be a YOGABODY® Breath Coach. I also completed the YOGABODY® 200 hour teacher training and can teach their Ashtanga-based yoga flows and am working on my YOGABODY® Yoga Trapeze certification.
To continue to expand my education and be able to provide overall wellness support to students, I've also begun my year long Health Coach certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, begun working on a 160 hour meditation certification from The Mindfulness Center in Maryland, my Level I Warriors at Ease certification, and the UESCA Endurance Running Coach certification.
When I am not on the mat and Covid doesn't have us staying at home, you'll find me hiking with Team in Training (and raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society), cosplaying at local conventions, going to Walt Disney World, or hanging at home with my kitties Bob, Chewie, and Katniss.
